Panagsama Beach "Just got back from the Philippines and thought the diving was loco, scenery on Apo was the apitomy of paradise, Panagsama beach offered the cheapest diving i came across at around ten pounds, that was at ocean globe. I thought the diving at balicasag was also cheap considering the diversity of coral and marine life.
"
Panagsama Beach "I dived with Neptune Divers and they proved to be pretty average. I was their only customer so several of the dive centres pool their customers and go out on the same boat. This is a good idea, as it saves unnecessary fuel use in low season, but it does mean that you dive with more divers than perhaps you had imagined. Prices are US$ 20 per dive. The boat is a typical Philippino bangka, with rubberised flooring. It seems designed for Asian guests, as there are no seats except those on the floor. Divers kit up and don their scuba units whilst sitting on the floor, which makes standing up again impossible, unless you are Asian of course! There were no life jackets on board, nor any oxygen, nor any boat briefings. Dive briefings were available on request, it seems. For a PADI 5 Star IDC Centre, this is some thing to be expected, as PADI conduct no third party verification of their centres’ standards.
"
Baadsman resort "I dived with Thresher Shark Divers – a UK owned and staffed centre. They are a very competent and professional outfit. By Philippine standards their dive boat is good. It has a toilet, a dry area, and sun and shaded areas – real luxury in this part of the world. They also have first aid and oxygen on board – wow!! Pretty impressive for a PADI centre to be meeting standards. My only complaint about the centre was their lack of availability of fresh water for rinsing kit, but especially for cameras. Dives are about US$ 30 but get cheaper if you buy multi-dives.

Hollyette's Restaurant "Whenever you are in the visayan islands, like Cebu, Negros or Bohol: come over to Siquijor, a must see Island with not very spectaculare but nice dive sites. Our speciality: free diving for free divers without any strange regulations. Do what you, want: we bring you there, where and how you want to dive.

Rene Juntereal "We dived Apo Island with Rene Juntereal who
I'd strongly recommend not only as fun and competent dive leader but also
as a gourmand. He arranged some wonderful lunches on the beach prepared
with curious and delicious local foods."
Liberty's Community Based Lodge & Paul's Diving School
Coco Loco Island "Peter Ponnet's op, Dive and Let Live, is located on Coco Loco Island, off the coast from Roxas, Palawan. A couple of hours from Puerto Princesa. Peter is Belgian, and an excellent instructor. Rates are $15-20 per dive, depending on whether it is shore or boat diving. Diving is very good; always something new to see. I have dived with Peter many times, and plan to go again as often as I can! Peter also has a liveaboard yacht, the Talusi; he does Tubbataha as well as Coron, Apo Reef, and other sites.

Asia Divers have dive stores on Small Lalaguna & Sabang Beaches as well in central Manila and Cebu. "Been diving with them 3 or 4 times and did both Nitrox and Adv. Open Water courses with them - very well done. I've also done Draeger Re-breather with them, though not the course (done elsewhere) and they do an excellent job with re-breathers.
Sabang Beach "I enjoyed diving with Frontier Scuba back in 2002. The owner, Rick Kirkham, takes as many dives as he can himself and has a hands-on approach to the business. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the area's numerous dive sites. Rick even came to meet us at the pier when we arrived at night to make sure we arrived safely and were ready for diving the next day.

Octopus Divers in Puerto Galera offer accommodation, diving, courses and day trips. Also liveaboards to Tubbataha Reef, Apo Reef and Coron/Busuanga Island

Sabang Beach "There are buses from Manila going to Batangas City pier which will take 2 to 3 hours. From Batangas City pier you can take Viva Lines, a large RO-RO, which accomodates cars on board. Blue Eagle is an airconditioned fastcraft that takes only an hour, however it goes to Puerta Galera which will require further transportation to get to Sabang Beach (either by Bancas or jeepneys). Or you may also take a Big Banca from Batangas that goes directly to Sabang Beach. Si-Kat Ferry offers bus and ferry package transportation from City State Tower Hotel, Ermita, Manila to Pourta Galera. Bus departs at 9:00am. Captn Greggs can also make the arrangements for you to be picked up at the airport by taxi, driven to Batangas and have you met by their designated boats which will bring you to the resort.
"
Pacific Divers "The dive shop is owned and managed by a PADI certified OWSI. Instructions in English, French, Spanish, German, Italian and Pilipino are available. Pacific Divers is equipped with 2 13 meter length "bancas" (elegant outrigger boats) especially designed for diving. One can easily reach the 30+ dive sites praised internationally as the best in the world.
