SCUBA Diving InsuranceMake sure that your travel insurance policy covers you for diving to the appropriate depth: many policies have a 30 m limit which is not always enough. Even if you don't plan to go deeper than 30 m there is always a chance you may overshoot, or circumstances dictate that you go deeper. We recommend always travelling with at least 40 m cover. Your policy should also include:
If you live outside the UK we recommend World Nomads travel insurance, which is designed for travellers who like to take part in adventurous sports and activities. They also offer cover down to 50 m (depending on your country of residence and qualifications). For every World Nomads policy purchased from here, we will donate the equivalent of 5% of the premium price to the Footprints charity project of your choice. See below for more details of World Nomads. If you require worldwide cover against loss or damage of your diving equipment whilst stored at your home, away from home or in use, check out Harrison Beaumont (for UK residents). They also provide sports accident insurance. Harrison Beaumont have specialised in sport and leisure insurance for over 35 years. |
