Diving Galapagos (Ecuador)The Galapagos islands are located 970 km west of Ecuador, in the Pacific Ocean. The water is cold: you will need a 5-7 mm wetsuit with hood and gloves, or a drysuit. The best time to see whale sharks is from May to November, especially in the northern islands. Hammerheads may be seen all year round.
